ViscoStat is a 20% ferric sulphate equivalent haemostatic with inert binding agents in a viscous aqueous solution. It contains patented fumed silica, which limits acid activity, making it gentle on hard and soft tissues.

• Produces stable haemostasis
• Stops bleeding within seconds, shortening chair time
• Does not hinder healing of hard and soft tissues
• Eliminates sulcular fluid contamination, ensuring optimal bonding
• Avoids repeat impressions
This haemostatic gel solution is indicated for various treatments in general dentistry and oral surgery to stop capillary bleeding, e.g. fixed prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, periodontal treatments, etc. ViscoStat is also recommended for retrograde fillings, impacted teeth, gingivectomies and as a "fixative" for pulpotomies.

Tip: prevent leakage caused by sulcular fluid contamination during direct bonding procedures. Soak Ultrapak™ knitted cord in the haemostatic solution and isolate the tissues. Then rinse the sulcus with a vigorous air/water spray.

Note: never use products containing epinephrine together with ferric sulphate preparations (ViscoStat, Astringedent) as they may cause blue-black discolouration
